Interactive projectors – At St. Matthew we continue to strive to have the latest and best technology tools. We have already started to replace our outdated projectors with the newest interactive projectors. The added funds will help us put these upgraded projectors in every classroom.

Professional development – It is essential that we give our teachers the opportunity to attend exciting professional development opportunities. Without the funds from the Foundation, we will not be able to send some of our teachers to larger conferences, such as the International Society for Technology in Education, NC Counselors Conference, National Phys. Ed. Conference and the North Carolina Technology in Education Conference, as we have in past years.

Principal Grants

Principal Grants are awarded to each school for supplemental funding in the areas of student centered programs (academic enhancement, technology and cultural enrichment), faculty/staff centered programs (professional development, technology) and Catholic identity. The funds are used to strengthen the overall educational process at each school. These programs introduce innovative ways of teaching and reaching students. The money allows schools to address needs not met within the MACS system because of limited financial resources. With these grants, the schools can provide relevant, significant and meaningful learning experiences for all students.

Teacher Grants

Grants for Educational Excellence are offered to our Catholic schools educators to recognize and support their creative initiative in providing our students with new and different avenues in which to learn. Financial support of up to $2,500 is offered per project or program or two or more teachers may combine projects for up to $6,000. Grants are funded based on innovation, creativity, and the overall impact on the classroom experience.
